Exciting news! Avon is partnering with Martha Stewart Living (MSL).

Martha Stewart Living magazine will include an 8 page mini holiday gift guide and advertorial in the November issue. (hits newsstands mid October).  Watch "Martha Stewart Living" TV show on November 3, which will feature top selling AVON Representatives. 

Also watch for an AVON holiday promotional insert in the December issue of Martha Stewart Living magazine (on newsstands in mid-November)

In addition, Martha Stewart Living editors will be guest contributors to the AVON C-25 Brochure, which will be distributed around the 4th week in Novemeber.

Just a little tid-bit I heard today on Good Morning America. 

How long should you use/keep your make-up:

Powder make-up - replace every two years 

Liquid make-up - replace after one year

Mascara - replace every 3-6 months

Using make-up longer than suggested can affect your complexion and irritate your skin and eyes.

OK, I read that SSS Bath Oil mixed with water will keep bugs off the dogs.  I mixed 10 oz of water and 2 oz of Oil, shook and misted on my dogs.  We have really bad ticks and I have seen some fleas on them (all three dogs are outside dogs).  I am very anxious to see if it really works.  Come back and visit in about a week and I'll let you know if it worked.

In the mean time why not enjoy some shopping.

YEAH!!!! It worked.  I found no fleas, but I did find two ticks on the face of one of my dogs. (Boxer-American Bulldog mix)  I didn't spray their faces because I didn't want to get it their eyes.  My other two dogs (mutts) have long hair and they won't stay still long enough for me to check them.  I usually notice the ticks on them once they have gotten bigger and I have not seen any. So hopefully it worked on them also.  I will tell you that on the Boxer/Bulldog, I guess because he has short white hair, the spray did make his hair look different where the lotion hit.  But maybe brushing after spraying will help to even out the lotion.  Well I'm just glad it worked.
